Thank you to everyone who came by our Charity Garage Sale a couple of weeks ago. My family and I were amazed at the turn out – some people even arriving as early at 7:30 am! We had lots of help from our friends and family who donated items and tables for us to use, and who helped out on that day. My children and their friends also sold freezies and cookies to help with the fundraising!
We were able to raise close to $400 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. We donated part of the funds raised to my cousin’s “Light the Night Walk” that is run by the LLSC as well. Any items that were not sold were also donated to other worthy causes: books, games and craft supplies were donated to the Churchill Meadows Community Library and Sick Kids Hospital, and other items were donated to Diabetes Canada.
A very big thanks to all of the residents of the Churchill Meadows community that helped to make this such a successful event!
When our community comes together, there’s nothing we can’t do.
